The King
Vulture takes the prize as the most colourful
of the vulture species. Note the wattles
on the face of this species. Similar wattles
are also found on the Andean Condor, though
in that bird they are much less colourful
and only occur on the male. In the King
Vulture, they appear on both males and females.
