The bald
head of a female Andean Condor. This species
has not experienced quite the hardships
of its cousin, the California Condor, as
it lives in high, inaccessible places occupied
by few people. Despite this, Andean Condors
have also joined the endangered species
list. It simply took them a little longer
to do so.
