Once they 
                                    have eaten, many vultures retire to a corner 
                                    to digest their meal; this is a necessary 
                                    thing before they can attempt a successful 
                                    take-off. In the event of emergency they 
                                    will regurgitate their food to lighten the 
                                    load.
